The Tizio Floor Support by Artemide turns the Tizio table lamp into a reading lamp, raising Richard Sapper's 1972 design on a slender cylindrical steel base. Tizio's articulated arms stay balanced through a system of counterweights, and the structure that supports the head also powers the light source, so no external wiring is needed. This blend of engineering and elegance has made Tizio an icon of Artemide and of Italian design more broadly.
