"For the last six months, we've been working with a New Zealand company to improve our face to the world. We've re-established who we are and what is important to us as a company; telling stories through design."

David Trubridge are gradually rolling out this refreshed branding that includes a new website and identity. Some of the designs are directly influenced by observations David made in his early travels in the Pacific. When taking notes of the various trees or sea life he also sought to find the original names for them, many of which originate from the Māori culture in Aotearoa (New Zealand). To further honour these names the company has made corrections to the design names by using macrons. The design names that have corrected spelling are: Kōura, Nīkau, Mānuka and Hīnaki (all Māori names). "We’d like to thank Māori language specialist Kay Benseman for her consultation."
